Movement and orientation for Swiss schools.

minipic supports sCOOL—the Swiss school orienteering program. Through this program, thousands of children and teens discover the joy of being active outdoors. Using a map, they navigate the school grounds and the surrounding area. As a snack partner, minipic provides the energy they need between activities.

With its slogan “gives you that kick” minipic stands for fun, action, and adventure. Orienteering is a true adventure in the great outdoors. This connection to nature that orienteering fosters motivates us to bring the minipic Kick to the sCOOL program! That’s how our partnership with the Swiss Orienteering Federation, “Swiss Orienteering,” began in 2026.

sCOOL is a program that was launched in connection with the 2003 World Orienteering Championships. At the time, the goal was to have students run orienteering courses on school grounds at 1,000 schools across Switzerland on May 23, 2003, thereby setting a world record for the number of participants. That goal was far exceeded: In the end, 1,351 schools with 207,979 participants took part! Today, the program consists of four main components: “sCOOL Stages,” “sCOOL Cups,” “sCOOL Talent Box,” and “sCOOL@School.” In addition, there is the “It’s sCOOL” teaching resource for orienteering-related lessons.

minipic gives that kick at every event.

The goal of sCOOL is to motivate schoolchildren to be active outdoors, provide them with a positive orienteering experience, and develop their spatial reasoning and navigation skills. In addition, sCOOL aims to support teachers in planning and implementing the map-reading skills outlined in Curriculum 21. At each sCOOL event, every child receives a minipic bar to help them stay energized throughout the day!

minipic is proud to be part of this initiative.
