Solar panels and green facades

Solar panels & greening of facades

Our facilities are being assessed for the installation of solar panels and greening of exterior surfaces in order to further expand sustainable energy management. As a first step, we have installed solar panels at our facility in Landquart.

Nature reserve and biodiversity hotspot

Nature reserve and "minipic" biodiversity hotspot

The nature reserve covering around 1,000 m² at the Churwalden site has been certified since 2002 as one of the "Stiftung Natur&Wirtschaft" (Nature & Economy Foundation) certified company sites designed to be close to nature. The "minipic" biodiversity hotspot in Landquart, covering over 5,000 m2, provides a habitat for many native animals and plants. In recent years, the yellow-bellied toad, many rare sand bees, and the Alpine longhorn beetle have settled here.
